looks like i'll be helpin JammerJ with the rest of the install cuz LUCKY76 JUST GOT CANNED!

Seriously, i would save money and only purchase materials in small amounts and keep goin back if u need more.

remember, dont start spraying until you are 105% complete with the box. Just when u think u are done... u are not.

haha, if we need to take up a little more space inside the box, would it be ok to maybe build a small a small box in the back of the port to house a fog machine? or do you not recommend that.

I have some questions about lighting the inside of the port. I was thinking about inserting oznium's superbrite leds inside the box. I want the light to be visible inside the port and when the fog comes out I want the fog to catch the light. How many of the superbrites do you recommend to light the internals of the box so the light comes out of the port? I do not want to see individual leds shinning out of the port. I want it to be all blended into one color.

Also my uncle hooked me up with some 3/4" threaded rod from his work. He was asking me what the hell I needed such a thick rod for? He told me that I could lift up a car with a rod that thick. Why is 3/4" threaded rod needed? Is it not a little overkill?

Also how do you recommend I ground all the batteries and amps to the chassis? Should I weld a copper grounding block to the floor and ground everything off that block? If so where can I find such a block?

Tell your uncle that nobody understands the reasoning behind such bracing methods until they see if for them self. Pressure inside the box will be so great that you need the most bracing possible.

You'll need to remove the panels in the back of your ride to find a good ground.

After all bats are wired in parallel, i recommend grounding the battery bank with a few runs of ground to the same point.

Ya that's what I was going to do. Is 2 runs enough for each battery? Also I was planning on grounding them right in front of the hump. Is that alright?

I meant the superflux not the superbrite.

This is what I planned to do for my interior. Tell me if this sounds alright and if it would be adequate lighting.

I planned on putting...

In Each Door - 1 Green Superflux In the top change holder

- 2 UV Superflux in bottom map holder

In Cupholders - 1 Green Superflux / Cupholder

Vents - 1 UV Superflux/Vent

1 Blue Silicon Strip / Side (Above Feet)

2-3 Blue Silicon Strip to light up the ceiling

I also planned on doing this

2-3 Silicon strips shinning onto the box (also would light up the back ceiling)

You are probably wondering how I am going to mount the silicon strips on the ceiling. I am taking out the dvd player in the back because it rattles like crazy and am going to make a piece out of mdf to house all the strips. This should light the ceiling nicely.

The under each of the front seats facing the wall I was going to put a blue ribonstrip to light the ground and the bottom of the box.

I do not know what the best way to light the port up UV color would be. What would you suggest doing so the entire port shines out UV powerfully. I was thinking maybe 6ft of the flexible led strip placed carefully on the edge of the port so the leds would face the back of the wall.

Then for the back back where the batteries are going to be. I was going to run 3 or 4 blue silicon strips shinning on the back as a whole. Then I was going to take 4 of the UV superflux and mount 2 on each side of the seats so it creates a shadow effect on the seats and contrast with the blue.

I do not know what else to do for the back. If you have any suggestions on any of this let me know thanks!

All those SA amps are sexy looking laid out on the table like that! Lucky, what have you done to the vehicles suspension to handle all this insanity? Also have you considered upgrading the tires to ones rated for extra weight?

I have done nothing to the suspension yet and nothing to the tires. I need to get new tires for the winter and then I plan on putting in new springs in the spring to fit my new rims I am putting on. Will my car be fine for the 6 months without adequate suspension? What about the tires? How long will they last for with low tred? They should not pop on me correct?

tires are not gonna pop, the box isnt gonna be that heavy, im guessing maybe 700lbs, but its gonna be spread out across a huge area.

It'll depend on what kind of milage you put on it but 6 months isn't too bad esp since you plan on beefing it up after that, but I wouldn't take it 4X4'n and I would take it easy on bad bumps, speed bumps, pot holes ect. How bad a tread do you have?

the box should be that heavy, i'd say at the most 550lbs and that's pushin it, seriously.

Now with bracing, it may end up bein up around 600lbs.

I don't recommend putting any device in your box except for leds. Anything that has a circuit board in it will more than likely get damaged quick!

your tires, you need to get the specs off of them and look it up for yourself or i can for you.

Give me every little detail u can about what is says on the sidewall so i can find out for you.

My stock tires were only rated for an extra 1400lbs of weight but the whole capacity of the car is only 800lb limit.

When you ground your batts-

Run ALL power across ALL power posts on batts.

Run ALL ground cross ALL ground posts on batts.

Run multiple grounds off each side of the battery bank so you don't have tons of cable coming off 1 post.

I got 2-3 runs of 2/0 cable coming off each side of my bank (i did at one time, i might be fixing that later on)

Some people may say that's overkill. It may be, but the more you run, the less resistance, higher voltage and more stable your amps will always be.

Shawn, what do you think as far as my leds go? Is that good the way I have it setup or should I use other forms of the leds in certain spots?

i cant help you choose your designs.

I can say that leds should not be visible if you want the glow effect. So just have the leds out of site but shine towards the viewing area.

I am just wondering if there would be adequate lighting for where they are going. Like will there be enough light glowing out of the cupholders to make a water bottle glow with just one superflux?

For the port what do you suggest I do as far as leds go and positioning. I want them to be as bright as possible.

Thanks

i know alot about what they sell since i own a lot of their products.

You superflux lights are VERY bright but u must realize that it wont be so bright that it will distort your vision, lol.

That site is addictive because everything is so cheap.

My main concern is the port. What do you suggest to make it shine out a great amount and how many?

just run led strips all the way around the inside thickness of the port... that's easy.

just find their brightest NARROW ANGLED LEDS for the upper portion of the port and WIDE ANGLED LEDS for the lower portion.

If u use narrow angled on the bottom, the light wont disperse enough.

If u use wide angled towards the upper portion, the light will be very dull and not bright looking.

I am not sure what strips I should be looking at then.

Should I get the ribbons for the narrow angle and then silicon or the flexible led strips for the dispersed? How much of each would you get?
