1 Ohm stable for sure.

But I think I've read that you will not have any warranty at 0.5 Ohm, but it can work for burps !

Maybe you can wire your subs another way?

Ask Sundown, on their dedicated forum.

There is no warranty coverage when less than 1 ohm. It is stable, and with a proper electrical isn't bad. But the lifespan of the amp is shortened and there is no significant gain going from 1 ohm to .5 ohms, efficiency drops greatly and current consumption greatly increases. It's not worth it.

well i have 4 dual 4 ohm subs so i have to run it at .5 ohm but alot of people have told me that that amp is .5 ohm stable and will handle it with no problem with burps and music, i hope there rite has anyone every used one, ive had abunch of people tell me it will hit like 2300 at .5 ohms

Just wire it to 2 ohms.

i know someone with a saz 1500d at .5 ohms and its fine. it just shortens the lifespan by a little.

but u HAVE to make sure your electrical is good because your volts will drop a good amount with everything being stock.

the 2000d will probably put out 2300 at 1 ohm if your volts stay up. so its gona put out more at .5 ohm.

sundown amps are way underrated

sweet thanks, yeah ive asked a bunch of people, i currentyl have a optima yellow top d34, big 3 0 gauge, power and ground 0 gauge, and a 200 amp alternator, should that be enough to support that amp

or you can run 2 of the 1000s strapped ... have the subs wired to 2 ohm ... each amp would be at 1 ohm

well i need the most possible power , will 2 1000s strapped put out more then 1 2000 wattt, and in october i will be buying another 2000 and strap em together, to have about 1000 watts going to each sub, i will only be using this amp alone and at .5 ohms for one show , then buying the next one i need as much power as i can get for one show so the 2000 would prob be the best, i just want to kno if my electrical will b able to handle it, and if i will damge the amp buy running it at .5 ohms for 1 show maybe 2

Optima yellow d34

big 3 0 gauge

power & ground 0 gauge

200 amp powermaster alt

and if needed a kinetik hc 2000

i would buy the kinetik just in case because you are going to need at least 2 of those when you put in the other amp

rite yeah im going to get it and get another one when i put the secone amp in, but should i have an issue supplying enough power if i have that one kinetik just for 2 shows

It should be enough. Honestly it depends on how you are going to use it for at shows. Do u plan on using it for burps or for a longer duration. If a longer duration how long?

well the runs are 30 seconds each so we have to play music for 30 seconds, everyone says the amp will work perfect at .5 ohms just as long as the voltae is strong enough, but yeah 30 seconds of music and ill probly do about 4 runs through out the day

The amount of runs really dosent matter you just need to make sure the batts are charged before entering it. You should test them reguardless. I think what you should do is install it with a single kinetik and see what the voltage drops are looking like. If they are significant get another.

rite yeah i will do that just to make sure so how would i tell what my voltage is before i do my run i have a multi meter but not a volt meter inside the cabin, n where in ct r u from i actually live in ct myself northeastern part

to check your voltage check you alternator (pos on alt and neg on ground) and also check your batteries floating voltage with the car off ... im in watertown. what about you?
