Well I joined the forum here just to learn about SoundSplinter Subs.

I have a few questions

When did soundsplinter start? Any info on production processes.

yep, they do indeed like small enclosures and will love the 500wrms u'll give it!!

soundsplinter is getting close to 1.5 years old or so...probably a lil younger. it started as a website design contract that turned into a subwoffer company.

i believe mike (mr. soundsplinter himself) has a bit of history, both at his website, www.soundsplinter.com and here, in one of the above pinned threads.

and kent would kno, he was the very first to recieve the 8

but it seems to me you are open to other options too, what may i ask are you going for sound wise?

dont get me wrong, the 8 will be nice (ill be ordering one in the near future) but like you said, the ss subs dont require much space so if your looking for more output and a deeper sound, maybe a 12" rl-p would be something youre interested in

Well I really don't need anything louder than my one 12w6v2. Thats enough bass for me it got 16mm of xmax.

I was thinking two 8s or two 10s or one of either. I also thinking of an 8 for my boat.

I really just like sq but I like to bump too.

Hired by TC Sounds in early Summer 2003 to begin developing SoundSplinter for TC's exclusive use, along with a more general audio wherehouse concept over at SoundBistro.com that would carry SoundSplinter alongside many other already known brands. Well as fortune would have it, TC got involved in other projects and offered me a contract to begin using them as an OEM, and in turn to run SoundSplinter as my own

Various parts are sourced worldwide and shipped to the manufacturing plant in San Diego, California to undergo assembly and any additional manufacturing processes that may be necessary for the finished product. They are also tested in-house, packaged, and ready to roll out the door from this location.
