How do you have it wired to that SAE1200? With a dual 1 you can either get .5 or 2 ohms, neither of which are optimal for that amp.

Find something that puts out its power at 2 ohms so you can wire the voice coils in series.

But really I'd recommend saving up. 350 dollars won't get you a great 2000 watt amplifier. For that price you won't find anything better than what you already have. Maybe instead of selling it to him, try to find another SAE1200. They aren't strappable, but you could still just put one on each voice coil.

if u wanan stay cheap, u can pick up a brand new Audiopipe AP30001D amp. It's rated at 3,000w @ 2ohms bridged.

If u do not know hwo to properly set gains, i wouldn't suggest you buy this amp, honestly, because with this much power to play with, i'm afraid users may end up killing subs like yours due to clipping, etc...

A lower power alternative would be -

Alpine PDX-1.1000

This baby may only be rated at 1,000w but it outputs consistent power over a larger range of ohm loads allowing it be a more powerful amp than others rated in it's class(those that do not have that technology).

If intersested I have an old school rockford Fosgate 1501bd, it puts out 1500 watts rms @ 2 ohms. When I went to a buddy's and put it on a bench it was pushing ~1650 rms. This amp is older but still 100% working condtion. I even have sting adaptors so it takes 0 gauge as when it was made it was only big enough for 4 gauge. This helps out alot when you got it pushing a lot of wattage. Not trying to sale pitch it to you but ask around its a good amp.

Im sure if you shop around enough you will find a good amp, but just make sure our getting a good brand, those low brands never push close to what they say.
