Pole Vent

Alright before i buy a 10" Bl with cooling i need to make sure i know the mounting depth... the website says 6.25" but i heard you have to leave an extra .5" for the pole vent... in this case it would be 6.75" mounting depth. is this correct?

BL's don't have pole vents...you can sit the back plate on the back of the box if you want.
