input on new speakers, Infinity Kappa 63.7i?

Recommended Posts

so i was looking at onlinecarstereo and i have always wanted to try some Kappa's, perferably Kappa Perfects, but i can't afford that at all right now, i just need to upgrade what i have, which is garbage.

i just bought a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the chick before me had a "system" in it. my coworker that knew her said it was a pair of some MTX's, he thinks 9500's. (she was some little druggie/dealer and was all drug money rich) anyways she completely blew the car stock speakers (some Infinity Gold speakers). before blown i'm sure they woulda been sweet. and i coulda tuned it fine. but they are blown to hell and i need new ones.

basically, what do you recommend, i have around 100 to blow per pair. but i wouldn't mind going cheaper. i just need something that will last a while and sound better then what i paid.

so far i'm looking at Infinity Kappa 63.7i, anyone have any experiece with this series? or any Kappa series really.

all input welcome and much appreciated

the speaker size needs to be 6.5" ... idk what the mounting depth can be. anyone know? also what are the details on the stock amplifier? i can't find anything about it.

yeah I got a pair of Infinity Kappa's 63.7i laying around, their awesome speakers and sound great. I had three pair in my car at one point and time about 2 years ago and was very impressed.

their are a lot out there but I wouldnt use them personally, you already stepped up the quality of your sub and amp why go backwards with your components. go with the infinity kappas(i have one pair, both work fine just missing their grills if you want some) or some mach 5 audio mli-65's.
