Second Skin Damp. On Vents??

Recommended Posts

I was adding some Second Skin Audio Damplifier I bought to the rear wall of my cab and was wondering if I should/can put some Damplifier over the vents?, There is a bunch of road noise coming from those vents (1 Behing Passener & 1 Behind Driver Seat).

sometimes those vents are there to allow air pressure to escape when you close your door. You don't want to cover those up if that's the case.

Yea, it looks like I won't be covering them with damplifier. Probably just put the factory insulation over it to help the road noise a little bit.

If you have enough bass that you need sound deadening, I doubt the tiny bit of pressure would bother you. Also the bottom of the new body style chevy trucks don't have an air tight seal at the bottom. At least my dually doesn't.

No it's not the bass, it's just that a lot of road noise comes inside the truck so I got a lil' sound deadening to cover the back wall and replace the rear insulation.
