Kill Stories (NOT ME)

Recommended Posts

So, on my local racing / auto forum there is alot of action brewing... as it's finally spring-like around here.

Linked below are some vid's for you guys. I'm only posting them here for chits & giggles. These are NOT the best quality clips as they are taken from chase car's, at night, on public highways - not a good idea, but it's done none the less.

The Civic that You'll see as a recurring theme is the current juggernaut of the area. Mr. Smith has spent the past winter season making this Hatch into a monster sleeper. When I say sleeper, I mean that he has $280/wheel tires mounted on the STOCK steelie 13" wheels. ;) Boosted & Sprayed... that's all that anyone knows about the mods.

These are from a 30-50mph roll. Dig racing starts this coming weekend when the local 1/4 strip opens.

That would be a boosted LS1 Camaro SS with 590wheel hp.

Firebird with LS1 343rwhp 362rwtq

Vid from psgr seat of LT1 Z28 with spray (and tranny problems - hence aborted run).

SSR outmatched, Civic pulled from 2k in 4th gear - barely into boost I imagine.

From what I cab tell, they seem to be staged. It seems right as the civic starts kicking it, the others let off the gas. Just my observations.

The could be one hell of a sleeper, but I want to see it run at the track. Rolling starts mean nothing to me.

Give me a rolling start to get in my powerband and stock for stock, I will eat an LS1. Off the line and pulling through though, I'm toast.

nah, the one that You're thinking of was admittedly a 60mph roll ( )... the civ suddenly getting onit is when the rubine spooled. He's running a fairly large unit, lag is a mofo. Both the civ & fox drivers ran down the events.

Again, I'm waiting on 1/4mile and 60' times as well... should be this week :D

how about:

Good to meet some new people and nice to see some old faces. Good times all around even with my pos eating alternator belt after alternator belt. It chewed one up last night ended up putting on a brand new belt this afternoon then headed straight to the track.

First run had my best 60 1.82 car went 7.7 at 93.6 saw the battery light go on again into 4th so I hit the brakes coasted to 13.37 at 52. There goes belt #2.

Had Dan and Jay drive me to some ghetto parts place bought the last 2 belts they had and headed back to the track. Dan was serving as my crew chief i go take a piss come back belt is on ready to rock and roll :tspry:

Run #2 crappy burnout 1.90 60 7.80 at 92.8 in the 1/8th went 11.82 at 124.8 blew the belt again going into 4th but stayed in it.

Ran one more time with no belt 1.84 60 felt ok launching it 7.71 at 92.8 again in the 1/8th 11.74 at 123.9 in the 1/4.

All and all I am happy with the car minus the alt belts it ran close to what I expected. Drove home on belt #4 without any major problems. On the 22x8x15s (thanks Joe ) I was getting a lot of wheelspin in 1st and a bit in second. Still, not bad for a full interior spare jack miscellaneous chit in the back AC equipped civic doing shakedown runs on a small slick.

:wiggle:
