Approximate weight for HDC3 and Fi BL

For box purposes, I am looking to get an idea of the weight of the 15 inch HDC3 and the 2009BL. I know my old BL was around 34 pounds but I know the new ones are heavier.

Any info would help.

I need to find out asap so I can calculate and design the box. Pretty important in this potential design. I remember reading that the new BL was upwards of 10pds heavier but I cannot confirm this at all.

The weight has NOTHING to do with the design of a box, nothing.

and my aq was 47 pounds if I remember right mine is a 12"

Sure, I can get a 3" driver to snap a piece of MDF, that isn't saying much. For something like that he should be using a double baffle anyway. It won't matter to box design more than just the enclosure volume if he is working with limited space.

an HDC312 is 48.5 lbs

if u use proper bracing on the baffle, weight shouldnt be a problem.

see that is what I was getting at I was just in a hurry. I know my aq has broke a baffle before and my heavier subs that would be even worse

oh and I was close on the weight I have had them for along time

He is knowledgeable but he doesn't have to be a dick about it.

I am going to be doing 5 subs. A ten pound difference in this setup is a big difference for all you "know it all's". Suspension in this car is now insufficient for this build.

It is really, really easy to get a good answer. Read the noobie guidelines and make a thread that follows them. And don't make two of the same thread

Lots of ways to address the 50lbs, but I guess you already know all of those.

On top of that the weight of the sub still doesn't at all effect the design of the proper enclosure for it.

So chill the eff out.
