Haven't been in it professionally, but plan on doing so. Anyone want to share stories on how they started? I'm interested

I got interested when I was watching music videos on MTV and loved the bass from my step dads HT sub. I bought my first pair of subs (Kicker CVR 12's) with my first paycheck from my first job.

Wow you started off with pretty good subs. My first subs were a pair of Jensen 10's in a horrible bandpass box running off a Legacy 500 watt amp. The worst equipment known to man

They were buy one get one free at Circuit City. I had them in 2.5 cubes on a Crossfire 480.2. I won competitions with them :)
