Could anyone tell me the recommended enclosure volume

for the 12" and/or the 15" XCON?

Thank you in advance, :coolugh:

Cant remember if mark really set one. Me and a buddie worked on some of the top programs on my box. Seems like the 15s want 3.25 after displacement and a 30-31hz tuning. Not saying that's what it should be but im impressed by the box. Id say anywhere from 3.25-4 @ 30-34hz should be pretty damn good for them.

You can safely use the same guidelines as the ICONs for now. We will have to make a pinned topic with all this info. Thanks for the reminder.

No...not yet.....next spring for sure!!!

But, I may have a few potential new customers!!!

Everyone is really impressed with the Icon,

once they find out there's an upgrade (Xcon)

They start asking Q's I don't have any answers for.

These guys out here are all jacked up on Kicker...

Until they lay ears on my Icons that is! LOL

I've had 5 offers as of lately to do full installs,

so I'm trying to piece things out to get SSA on the road out here.

(BTW I'm not a fan of Kicker anything, though they make good paperweights! LOL)

I'm running my Xcon 15" with 3.50cf3 per sub at the moment...it does seem a little on

the small side but wholly crap the bass guitar strings are elastic band tight

I listen to alot of metal and these subs really deliver..... :fing34:

My box is 7.5cf for 2-15's, so pretty close to MemphisMZD's and it sounds great.

That size is great, but we don't want people going much smaller then that. :)

3.5 is a good start, if you want to go up to 4.25 or so, that is fine. :)

well what about an 18", I have enough space to make a 5 - 5.2 ft^3 box and I was wondering what will be my best bet. I will power it by a sundown saz-2000d. I was looking at the 15" BTL but not sure if thats the sub for me or the route I wanna go. I think the Xcon or two Icons is more of my speed, I dont care about numbers at all but sometimes with friends it will be a good thing; Im more so worried about a sub getting low sounding great while doing it. appreciate ya

You're talking about sealed or ported? Before or after driver displacement?

Nothing for the 12" model ? Same thing?

I looked around here, and I see everybody running those in ported boxes.

Maybe they're not good in sealed boxes?

All SSA drivers preform very well in sealed enclosures. We would not be an SQ speaker company if they didn't. ;)
