SUBS CUTTING OUT

i have a sony hu,a dual amp for 6x9's,and a punch 401s running 2 15''memphis pr.when i turn it up where the bass is really starting to hit they go off and i turn it down a little they come back on,however if i fade all the way to subs i can hit them as hard as i want to.any ideas?thanks!!

the amp might be going into protect mode from low voltage

thats what i was afraid of.do have a light on but lights are not dimming much.thanks guys!whos the honda person on here?

u might have low voltage at the amp, that doesnt mean the whole car is experiencing it as well.

Quick thing to do-

Turn off stereo first.

Unplug the remote wire going into the other amp then turn your stereo on.

Blast the hell out of it liek you normally would and see if that fixed the problem.

If it did, you need a battery back there. If it didn't, then you will need to play a constant test tone pretty loud but being careful not to damage your subs and check the current voltage reading at the amp's power and ground terminal. If it's below 11v, you definitely need a battery back there.

If it's above 11v, well, it's not low voltage problem.

had the remote and battery wire crossed on high amp,never had that happen before but its fixed now thanks.
