They are completely unrelated what they do.

Crossovers stop frequencies that you don't want to play through the subs from making it to them. Nearly all amplifiers for subs already have these.

Equalizers allow you to adjust the level of different frequencies to fix anomalies in your frequency response.

I wouldn't buy either unless you can describe what his goals are that he cannot currently reach.

Well He Said He Wants To Achieve Louder ANd More Clearer Front Stage.

He Already Has Enough Bass.

Although When The Bass Isnt Hitting And There Is Treble And Midrange You Can Hear Some Come Out Of The Subs So IDK

What speakers does he have up front and what amp (if any) are they on?

He Has 2 Clarion Audio 4" Speakers ( 1 In each Door)

And 4 Q Power Tweeters

Neither Are Hooked Up To An Amp.

Just Directly From His

Jensen Touchscreen Head Unit

in my opinion, 2-4" speakers and 4 tweeters running stock on an amp or no amp will keep up with 3-12" kicker cvx's even with 700 watts rms coming from an amp and this is speaking from experience

He Would Have To Either Have To Make Fiberglass Enclosures For Them And Mount Them On The Column Near Windshield Or Custom Box So That He Can Put Tweeters And Mid ranges Behind The Seat. Heres A Vid Of His Setup. Let Me Know What You Guys Think

amp and bass stoppers wont help at all, if he gets some more speakers 6.5" or bigger and and amp then he should be ok.

I think he needs a new box for his subs too. Considering he is taking up his back seat he really should have those L7's ported. They will come alive that way.

Also going to need way more up front and 4's will NOT cut it no matter what. Tons of space in the doors for them though so you are in luck.

He Has The L7"s Ported But The Port Is Wayyy to Small I Think.

Its Like Around 1 Or 1.5" Wide.

Also Im Gonna Try To Convince Him To Put Some More Front Stage In The DOors.

;)

i suggest a equlizer with a xover in it like this one i know you can find them cheaper too.

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_161EQXG/Audio...ray.html?tp=116

That won't help at all.

you maybe able to get away with these and some under hung 5-1/4's from pe check out the kick panels here at this link.

Those aren't worth buying.

just wondering why not? it sounds like the guy want's to run a active set up. i know the q logic's are a little on the cheap side but spending 10 -15 hour making it paint quality fiber glass to put in the same spot. just seems worth less to kick with feet in a daily driver. unless he carpets the boxes or some thing like it.

So pay $200 and spend hours making them rigid enough. Then still need airspace and have to vent into the fender all for kicks that aren't aimed all that well?

The doors look super easy in his ride and IB > cramped when it comes to drivers that need to play midbass.

your right up the ally of what i am thinking. don't know if he is willing to lose the center console or not you mite be able to put two L7's or L5's 8 inches in the center console spot. you build a box that is the correct size then you put the ski's on like a Christmas sled mount them to the side's of the box i seen it in a issue of sport truck or mini trucking or some thing like it they even did a padded arm rest above the back sub. with those two 8's you can run them in a 3 way active type set up with that eq i suggested. i think you will need a 4 channel and a two or 3 two channels. because you will have mid tweets and bass on all those amps the reason i suggest doing this way is you got a nice truck good subs in the back and you need a lot more mid bass. why do it half A$$ed when you should do it right. and make the truck sound right so tune the 8 a little higher for a mid bass type of kick. i would hate to see it half a$$ if you can fiber glass in the 6.5's some thing like march5audio mli's and just buy some high powered tweets from some were. those kick panel boxes like the guy is saying are A$$. if you need me to try to find that article on the box i described i can it came out very sweet.
