NEW Nightshade Pole Plugs

Recommended Posts

We have been using a plastic domed pole plug for our cooling option for some time now.

I decided to take a new route and these will be shipping as of orders placed today and beyond. They were made down the street here in Troutman, NC :)

Solid aluminum plugs!

The shape is a bit more aerodynamic than the old plug as well:

Also, being aluminum, the plug itself will soak up some heat.

What is the power you can safely recommend with this option? Is it an option? Do ALL new ones come with?

I'll be sending one of my Nightshades in for a recone and cooling :)

It will not fit original motors - the pole is a bit too small. We CAN add the plastic plugs to any generation motor and they work quite well anyway as we have used a few 100 :)

Jake, you told me to wait for the aluminum plugs then send them in for upgrades :suicide-santa:

If your motors are not the very first run they will fit. I am assuming if we talked about it they are not that old ?

I got them before you started making them in house. For $285

Hmmm... the aluminum may not fit then. If you *really* must have them I can probably get them machined down a bit.

Re-directs air flow behind the former for better cooling -- a pole vent by itself is not a very effective cooling method.

You may notice on the Fi subs the BL and BTL have no pole vents,

Jacob that would be great! I have calipers I can measure the inside diameter of one? What's the dimensions of your plugs?
