Thermal Heat

I know most amps have to battle heat to stay running as my last amp use to operate well into the 150 degree range on a normal basis but I just have one question. Wheres the heat at on this SAE-1200D???? Ive been bumping hard for 3-4 hours straight and not even a sweat. I can touch it at the end of the night and the heatsinks drain the heat out of my body. How is this thing suppose to be a normal amp????

They are good amps. Most of the heat dissipates from the sides.

The 1200s run unusually cool when used properly

The sample casing for the 1200 was about 1/2 the aluminum mass of our tooling and still ran cool - we added double the aluminum and more surface area and you see the results!

Oh yea....although I think Im done upgrading amps for a long time...I think I found my limit in loudness with this SAE!!! Dont think I would want it any more louder now lol. Might upgrade to a 1500 if there ever comes a time again lol.

They can, but you shouldn't do it daily.

They are warrantied down to 1 ohm. People do run them lower, but usually for burps. Even though Jacob makes some excellent amplifiers, I wouldn't run .5 daily.

Indeed... don't suggest using the 1200D under 1 ohm.
