Recommended Posts

I ordered my btl a few days ago (fully loaded) and now it's time to buy an amp, what do you guys think of soundstream? The sub will be going in a 5 cuft pored box tuned to 32 hz

Not trying to spend more than 500

You can wire a d2 down to 1 ohm or wire your 1 ohm to .5 or 2 so u need to look at an amp that does 2000 watts at 2 ohms or risk running an amp at .5

Why would d2 be better than d1

Yea I thought about that saz2000d but will it be enough power?

D1 can be run as 2 ohm or .5 ohm. D2 can be wired at 4 ohm or 1 ohm.

Alot of companies rate their amps at 1 ohm.

I would say a 2000D would run a fully loaded BTL nicely as long as it's the daily version.

His is d1 though.

Are you saying fot him to run his 2kd at .5 and risk it and also not be covered under warranty or telling him to run it at 2 ohms and get ~800 watts to it.

seems you're stuck with amps that do rated power at 2ohms due to your voice coil configuration. i would recommend looking at the kicker mono amps.

X2. Kicker amps are rated at maximum RMS @ 2 Ohms. Like the 2500.1.

SEC you have your sundown at .5 ohms right?

Any problems?

Many people run them at .5 and have no problems but the bad thing is you lose the warranty.
