BTL Fully loaded getting hot fast

Allright i got my btl in and the dustcap got hot really fast and i mean hot hot i have 8ga wire running to the speaker and 1/0 ga ran to my optima back to my kinetik 2400 and ran it full tilt and this happend its a duel 1 fully loaded and it is in series to make it a 2 ohm load the amp is a Rockford Fosgate t2500.1bd everything seems to be fine i mean i have not "Broken" it in yet..need some help does it matter which terminal i use to run series?

You run from amp pos to terminal 1 pos. Then terminal 1 neg to terminal 2 pos. Then terminal 2 neg to the amp neg

Figure out what is wrong before u hurt the sub!!!

Think thats it i had on one side like this Pos/Neg on this side of the terminal to the amp 8O8 and this side in the "Series" wiring so pos neg to each other

Please reply back to let a noobie know if this is right or what

Its was a str8 newbie mistake luckly i cut off the amp on the way home..yeah i only had 1 voice coil wired up >.< i looked at it lastnight and started cussing...no damage done tho...thanks all

Wow, so technically... the BTL may like 2 2,500w amps for short durations, :) As long as u keep it cool.

i used 2 t20001 bd's. one on each coil. i'm not saying to do it, but i do. haven't been on here in a while, just checking up on what's been going on.
