might want to look into it, but i dont think the mounting depth will clear the port wall.

x2, that does look too shallow.

You need to recheck your depth numbers. 14"- (port4.5" + mdf1.5"= 6") only leaves you with 8" to mount your sub.

can someone tell me what is the mounting depth of this sub? also a cut out?

as for the mounting depth i know i need to leave about 2-3inch behind the magnet so the total mounting depth i need is....?

I don't know the depth of your nighshade, but their are other on here that do. I am thinking that a 15 needs more than 8" of mounting depth.

also does anyone know the xmax of this sub?

Mounting depth on my 12's is 9.5", and leave about 2 inches behind the sub as well. X-max I would guess is 25mm.

so total mounting depth of your 12inch sub is 11.5"? and your xmax is 25mm? or 20mm? the xmax i though was important to know for tuning the sub.

I'm reading the depth of the box as 16". That means you have 10" of mounting depth for the sub. Remember that the sub mounts on the outside of the box so you don't just go by internal box dimension. Also if your sub has the cooling option (pole plug) then there's no need for space behind the magnet cause air doesn't flow through the pole vent anymore.

Mounting depth is about 9 3/4". Maybe a hair over that.

Outer diameter is about 15 5/8". I always cut to 16" for a little extra clearance.

Cut out is 13 7/8".

WOW i jsut ran into a major issue~!! I built this box and guess what?? it will not fit in via my trunk!

The only way i will fit this in is to slide it in behind my rear seats and cut away about 3inch of metal! wow! what a big job i have ahead of me!! and the sad part is. if it was about 2-3inch smaller on the hight it would slide right in! but i need that extra 2-3inch to make my box complete lol! o boy!!! bring on monday!
