sooo yeah, basically i'm just looking for some tips to stop my head unit from skipping due to vibration. as it stands now my deck (Pioneer DEH-3800MP), most of the time gives me no problems when the volume is at 35/64, but when i go higher to 40, and sometimes even 38, the bass makes it vibrate and skip. i'm just wondering if there are any tips or better ways to secure my deck to limit this problem. i'm planning soon to double my subwoofer power (getting 2 IA LI's), so i'm hoping to get this solved before that.

i've read somewhere that skipping can be a voltage issue and one way to solve it is to go around the wiring harness and wire the deck directly to the battery, so i'm thinking i might try this some time soon, but i know a lot of you guys have crazy amounts of bass so your cars must feel some serious vibrations but i would bet your skipping is minimal if any, so if there are any other ways to stop it from vibrating i'd love to hear them.

sound slike you might have a defective or dirty radio. Try a laser lens cleaning kit.

i considered that, but the skipping happens some 30-45 seconds into the song, so i figure it is the buffer on the deck running out and then skipping. when i hold my fingers to it and stop the vibration it doesn't skip so i just figure its due to a lot of vibration on behalf of the deck
