Does anybody have any experience with the above HU,

just want to know if it is any good in general.

Mainly going to be using my ipod.

Pretty nice HU. You can ONLY play music with your ipod. I like the Alpine 9886 as well and you can use your ipod.

Is that the one without the CD player? Pretty slick little unit.

They are good if all you plan to use is your iPod.

They are very good for that, however I am not personally ready to give up my CD player yet.

Most of the Alpine HU can interface iPods, it's just easier to navigate on the iDA units.

o goody good this may be the winner, and yes i think all the iDA series dont have CD which would be nice but if i can save a lot of cash it may be worth it!

both around same price althought cde has cd option!
