Edgar's new box for 2 18's!

So me and Jake met up today with Edgar in San Marcos to give him his custom made enclosure that he ordered from us made for 2 18 bls. Too big for our cars to carry so we had to take the tahoe I even gave it my signature blessing for maximum spl. Jake liked it so much he wanted to live in the dammed thing. The box came out really nice; ready for vynil, carpet, rhinoliner, you name it! Here are some pics. pix whatever you kids call them these days. Thanks again Edgar!

i got everything in it and slowed songs are beast even though is not at maximum power.

i need to go buy a battery or two oh and my camera is not good for flex couldnt catch any at all

Good to hear Edgar, we need to meet up to see how it sounds. Had a lot of fun building this box, it was one of our bests boxes yet and it fits like a glove haha!

Im not a noob but, if I have 13.-- volts will this battery boost up its own capacity voltage higher than the normal battery?

If I understand you right, you are asking will the battery see more than 16 volts and it will when it is properly charged. You wouldn't want to run this kind of battery lower that 17 volts at any given time. Answer your question right?

We are going for performance vs. looks but regardless it will work just as good from the pics you can see the 90 inside the box.

And If the batteries didn't get 16+ volts it wouldn't be good?

i already tried to take some vids but cant get the flex to show on the cam

my brothers girlfriend showed up and i could move her hair a bit and by the way the bl's are not even moving only about 5 to 8 mm or so.

i need a battery so i can really crank it up :bigclap:

if your going for max output dont you think there should be another layer on that 3/4 inch? and i know for a fact you will move more air with 45's instead of 90's

Another layer of mdf wont help with output. Besides its already got internal bracing. You'll see how sturdy it is when we all meet up. The 45's are a neglible add-on in my opinion and only good for a little more output (maybe .3db max?). Did you ever ask your buddy about that 4 channel RF amp?

i muh homeboy is gone for a few years.....

and another layer would indeed help output.... see a single layer will flex, causing the air to flex the box and not go in and out.... i gained. a full DB out of changing my cornors and using 1 1/2 wood.

i mean just think of the turbulence that a 90 causes... its all about air flow. and a full DB is ALOT>

i also found that porting on one side made the closer sub bottom out faster... or before the further sub anyway...

also that the further sub was fighting the closer port sub to get free.....

i know that you both run a one port side box and many people do.... i did aswell.
