Has anyone ever dealt with or heard about Motor City Remanufacturing Alternators?

I know someone that is selling one for my explorer and would like to know how

reliable this company is.

http://www.motorcityreman.com/index.html is the website

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

I Have dealt with him 2 times without a problem. Had a 180amp in the Beretta and have a 250amp in the Astro. He ships quick and will help you out with any problems you may have.

Now.....

Reliability is great. Alternator seems to do what it's supposed to. I have to keep my engine idled up to be able to keep my electrical at 14.6 while having the system turned up (4 soundstream splx 154 subs on 1 xxx-4000d amp @1ohm, on 2 batteries.. no where near enough batteries). If I do a normal idle with system up, the voltage goes down to about 13.2.

Some have told me that his alternators are not good for huge car audio systems. I bought from him due to having other places money needed to go also. I am pretty happy with it and am pretty sure as soon as I ad more batteries things will be better.

Then again.... I keep hearing a small voice in the background saying, "EA, EA, ya should've bought an EA alternator".

Hope that helps
