i pushing it with a 3500mmats they only 1000rms what should i do to prevent it ?

x2 plus be sure your electrical is capable of with standing the current draw from your amp or you ultimatly end up clipping and burning them

wire gets burnt due to excessive current. Of course, manufacturer has the right amount of wire in there to handle the loads that will be given to the sub. A lot more power than rated. the problem is when the voltage going into the amp starts to become too low or the amp starts to clip, these result in higher than normal current outputs from the amp.

I use insane power on my subs and I have never seen a tinsel lead burn

with a clean signal...

you were definately clipping the hell out of your amp...

He didn't use something to cover the wire, he replaced the wire with a larger gauge.
