Vid of my 1500d on 2 type R 12's

2 days ago i replaced that old, OLD pioneer head unit with a clarion flip out(vrx765vd) but im unsure as to where i put my amp rca's, i mean it has like 4 pairs on the back of the head unit.....right now i have it on "non-fader output terminal" should it be on "rear audio output terminal"?

it also has "front audio output terminal" which i didnt use for obvious reasons.......sorry for the newbish question....but this was my 1st reciever install!!!!!

oh, and the box in the vid was a first too....got anxious so i didnt sand/paint/carpet anything but honestly i kinda like the "raw" look.....besides the glue smear lol

also another question, if i may.......do you think internal bracing is needed? 3/4" mdf single baffle.......also i didnt do any 45's in the corners.....

Leave your rca's plugged into the non fading input. That is for the subwoofer or even something like a center channel in a 5.1 system.

i'd put a piece of 2"x4" connecting the top of the box, between the subs to the base of the box.. that should add alot of rigidity to the baffle and not alter the tuning of your box..

Video makes it sound/look like your gain is to high. Shouldn't be much of any bass in that intro....... I never had alot anyway.

it accepts up to 1/0..but you aren't required to use that size wiring

you really should use 1/0g wire I cant and wont recomend smaller wire than 1/0 unless its a short distance from the battery to the amp and even then 1/0g is the best

you all make it sound like im running it at 100%, 100% of the time...yeesh....and i do have 1/0, its sitting here waiting to be installed, along with my new PG rsd's. this was RIGHT after install, pretty much no tuning done....and when exactly isnt 1/0 the best? unecessary at times, yet still "the best". The amp still barely gets warm after a decent pounding

Props for the box, hey I still have my box looking (raw) ha.

But now you have bass, step 2 is to put some component speakers in your vehicle.

Idk if it was just me or if you have stock stereo speakers in your ride. Sorry to down your thread, but it does look good...and you know more than others by facing the subs up!

have JL's unamped in there right now with plate speakers in the dash.....cant say i like it at all.....planning just the rsd's on around 100 watts each, also installed a clarion flip out a couple weeks after that video. the camera makes it sound much MUCH harsher than it really is....just trying to find a decent h.o alt right now....

and ya, that was my 1st ever attempt at a box, and i think it worked out pretty good.....more a learning experience than anything.....i want to try a little smaller, less port area and tuned slightly higher.....sure wangs the lows tho
