IMO it'd be a shame to buy L7's and only give them an AQ. Spend a little more and relax knowing that over time your amp will hold value and stay functioning.

thats what i was thinking....i told him to get something different but he didnt want to spend more than 250 for the amp.

i guess he was just looking more at the output of the amp, not the quality and value.

And then he thinks it is logical to spend less than that on new?? Perhaps he should revisit his logic.

Don't edit your posts after someone responds. Jeez

If he is going to be an idiot so be it, can't say that I am surprised. Dumb move IMO.

So I guess your calling the digital design amps garbage too, come on for the price they are great, good customer service, etc. Everytime i see Aq brought up, M5 always has to put it down, give it a chance lol not all of us can save up for 3 months and buy $600 sundown.

AQ amps look ALOT like Hifonics amps............... :ehh:

DD is a different animal altogether.

Not the only thing I don't like, but the forum boner based on misinformation is really annoying.

"Give it a chance" lol, take one apart once. ;) Then you will realize what a piece they are. The boner will fade, their resale will be crap, and they will start failing.

ive actually taken my aq 1200 apart :P within the first 10 mins actually. And the Aq 1200 is based off of DD M1a, now you have me there, I HAVE NOT taken apart or got my hands on DD amps, but from what Dj has told me and pics, and ratings, they look very similar.

Why is poiting out things the way they are associated with putting down a product ?

It is strikingly similar to a Hifonics model. IMO it's a matter of luck with these new amps. You could be lucky to enjoy it for a long time or not.
