Indecision

Recommended Posts

For a while i have been pondering on whether to get a fully Loaded 15" Btl or 2 12" Q's

I know that they are in very different (technology wise), but i have read alot on these forums that sometimes cone area can over come better machinery

they are relatively the same price when it all comes down to it.

They will be ran off of a AudioQue 2200D

I just want opinions (not criticism) on which sub/subs you guys think will pound harder.

I have a 03 trailblazer and i like lows

Box will be ported and built accordingly

I'd say the single 15.

I will vote for the BTL in your case. Just know you will be tickling the BTL with that amp. :) With a good electrical system and all else being equal, the BTL "should" be a better fit to your goals.

Get the BTL fully loaded. It is the way to go, I am extremely happy with mine. I would recommend at least 1 extra battery and some 0 gauge knu wire from front to back.

you are a BTL customer it sounds like.

Your electrical is dependant on your amp not your Sub. You also don't need more power to be louder. The BTL is the most effecient of the subs we are talking about, and since it sounds like having more force is your goal I think it will be a better option. It will also give you plenty of room to grow amp wise.

Then later when you upgrade your electrical, and then after that too when you upgrade your amp, you won't need a new sub or enclosure.

It will cost you less in the end.

Yeah i agree, when i buy stuff i always by the best on the market just because i know i'll be saving in the long run. How about i jus upgrade to the 0 gauge wire for now and just get a meter for my battery (idk the correct term. lol) that way i can be safe? or will i NEED a battery.
