Box size for 2 fi q 15s

I remeasured, new box dimensions are 34 x 30 x 17.5 total interior gross is 8.57 cuft. Port is 6 x 16 x 28. 1 cuft total port area. Do I need more port area? Any suggestions, this is my first box for large drivers. what kind of bracing should I use?

You can use thread rod for bracing. It'll take up the least amount of internal volume.

What are thread rods? Pictures? can I get them at home depot?
