Box design for 2 JL W6 15's in a ext cab

Recommended Posts

Ok so my buddy is putting 2 old school JL W6 15's in his extended cab frontier.

About how big should his box be, he wants to go sealed.

And which way should the subs face?

Towards the back of the seat or facing up??????

What does it matter how big they are?

I just don't like it...... idk why.

Not for any technical reason.

Well the specs say they like smaller boxes and he doesn't want to deal with tuning and a port etc.

So I would say 6-8 cubes total.

The main question is what way should the subs face?

Should sound nice, from what I've heard from people. I'm still waiting to hear the w6's in a nice sealed box.

Could you post a more useless, unknowledgeable, and inappropriate statement? The 15" w6's are STELLAR sealed...but that's right you've never heard one and have no experience with it. :(

only calling for 1.25cf sealed and 2.25cf ported.

in a fronty, pretty much going to have to face them forward in a typical slanted truck box. if he gets that autotek with them tell him to go easy on the gains.

Yea he really needs to set the gains with a DMM so he doesn't blow em.

I guess a slanted box it is.
