Any box designers indahouse

Recommended Posts

I'd like a box cabinet plan drawn up I don't know if I'm going with this design yet or not, but if I do I'd like to have a plan for it.

I'm basically doing a homebrew version of this: http://www.omegaloudspeakers.com/ts33.htm

Using these drivers: http://www.madisound.com/pdf/fostexcabs/fe126e_encl.pdf

If it models well, I wouldn't mind going with a tower speaker instead of a bookshelf - although I don't know exactly how it would react.

Thanks...

***updated

alright, decided to switch drivers...now I'm looking at the upgraded model: http://www.madisound.com/pdf/fostex...s/fe127erev.pdf - end up losing 2dB of sensitivity...woohoo, I'll be at 94dB/1W @ 4 ohms. Plenty of efficiency.

http://www.madisound.com/pdf/fostex...27e_revencl.pdf - Recommended Fostex bass reflex enclosure is at the bottom. 10 liters tuned to 71Hz. All I need is a cabinet that fits two of these...

yeah, but they're full range...no tweets...so the tuning naturally is going to be high :)

Trust me, the SQ is there...

doubtful...the amount of power at those frequencies aren't enough to cause overexcursion...

look at the picture :)

i need height, width, depth for a .706 cubic foot internal volume

given that a single driver's port is 80mm in length by 50mm diameter, what's the port for a box twice as big...and do i need to up the diameter to avoid port noise.

www.the12volt.com

figure it out yourself

You wont get any port noise from fullrangers

High tuning+ low tone+ cone movement= port whistle
