Got my FiQ12 need help with box - ideas ...

Recommended Posts

Just recieved my FiQ12" need some help on box ideas measurments.. etc..

I drive an 06 Nissan Xterrra. I would like to build a box the slants at an angle "towards" you following the countour of the back seats to.. (larger on the bottom , to smaller on top with the front being straight , facing the back) if that makes sense...Ill post a measurement of the height of the back seat at the angle but if any one is an SUV owner out there you know what i mean... i hope...that makes sense... I am assuming an angle on the back of the box doesnt make a difference.. its the amount of air inside.. I also need some recomendations on terminals for the box.... I am open to alternate ideas if anyone out there drives an xterrra.. oh and this will be a sealed enclosure

thanks

dave

Back with some measurements .. hoping some one can help with more exact and than what size MDF...

The back of my seats go up at and angle at a height of @ 17"

so my ruff measurement would be..

BACK ANGLED 17" >> like that >> /

Bottom about 12" fattter than the top piece

Top @ 7" << ruff estimate.. smaller than the bottom piece due to the angle..

get someone help me get a little more exact with CUBIC needs of the sub..

Thanks..

Dave

use 3/4" MDF, that will be just fine for a single 12".

i have a 12"q, i have it in a 1.5 cuft (before all displacements) and i'm realy happy with the performence. i havent heard it in smaller box, but this one handles really well. btw i'm in a Nissan Pathfinder. i don't think this will help too much, but i know you'll be happy in what ever you put it in. just keep it under 1.5cuft

take inches cubed and divide by 1728 to get it in feet cubed
