A quality amplifier that is between 750 and 2200 watts will be plenty to power both. Or what some have done, individual 700-1000 watt amps.

If your going to run the T10001bd amp and you are going to run two of them get dual 2 ohm voice coils..

Wire each sub to 1 ohm..

thats what i was figuring on doing...

that would keep it close to my budjet to.

thank you guys for all the help

so 2 rockford t1000bds?

if i go with the rockfords should i go with dual 1 or dual 2?

You don't have to do two amplifiers, just saying that some have. If you get these RF's, be easy on the gains and how hard you play the drivers, as I have seen plenty birthing in the 1400watts range. And that is well above the comfort level for thermal limits of the Icon.

A R/F T1500-1bd on 1 ohm...

Two dual 1 ohm coil subs FTW... :fing34:

I have punched over double the rated RMS into the Icons and pushed them

as far as they are capable of going

I was un able to do any coil damage what so ever with a clean signal

but like any other sub it will come apart if over exerted with to much

power....the suspension can only take so much before it lets go

I would recommend staying close to the RMS rating with a good enclosure

and a properly set amp...you will get good life out of them and not void warranty

I'd recommend a single amp and not using 2.

If you want cheap then you can go with a refurb Sundown 1500. Thats what I did and it comes with a 1 year warranty. They are 350.

does it work better? more power? or something like that.

i've always only have one sub at a time so i've always ran just one amp lol.
