Box Build For An SS RL-P 15"

Recommended Posts

This is a build for my friend Ehsan. We're replacing his current seald box, with a ported one.

The new setup will be a 5 cube enclosure, sub up port back, tuned to 32Hz. Equipment will be a SoundSplinter RL-P 15" powered by a Powerbass 1000.1d, all in a Nissan Xterra.

Current setup.

Ya, I can't wait to see how it comes out. How do you like yours? I have never really heard an RL-p, just his for maybe 7 seconds.

So this is what we got done on the box today. A lot of time was taken trying to figure out why his radio resets once he hits 15mph.

It's just over 85 sq inches. And it looks cleaner like this imo, it didn't need any more port I don't think.

Pretty damn loud. There's two, the train horn, and there is a screacher, it's funny as hell.

I am not trying to get off topic, but I want to share my experience with train horns. The first year of our Haunt I set up 2 horns fed with a 200gal air tank set up on 4 second burps until the room was cleared. Well as you migh be expecting people went nuts, it was the most insane and intense scare. Needless to say it almost brought a lawsuit and we use this no more.
