What kind of Parametric EQ do you guy's recommend? I have a clarion deck, it only has 2 volt pre-outs but its loaded with options such as you can rip someones cd directly on the deck, SD card mp3s, Ipod etc etc. Anyway it only has Bass and Treble for EQ therefore I want to either get a Parametric EQ or maybe one of those high speed 30 band eq's with the clipping light on each band, What kind do you guys recommend? money is a concern and its gotta be black

Also where should the eq on my deck be set at when i get one 0 for bass and treble or -6 for bass and treble? I would also like it to be a min of 7 bands

There is nothing wrong with 2 volt preouts.

I liked the Memphis ones myself though

Also my deck doesn't have a sub output so if there is one that can take front and rear rca inputs and have a front rear and sub rca output that would be nice

You could try to find a Rockford 360.1 or 360.2

They are great IMO

I'm using a Kenwood KGC-6042A 1/2 Din EQ in my system. It has 9 fixed frequencies, and 2 parametric channels, each with a 12dB boost/cut. It accepts one set of RCA inputs, and has front, rear and subwoofer outputs, with fader capabilities between the front and rear. The subwoofer outputs can be defeated with the push of a button, with a slider for subwoofer level and crossover frequency.

i had a clarion m catcher... the same deal where you can rip music right into the the deck,

lots of cool stuff... 8 colors or some shit.. all kinda of inputs and outputs, user friendly..BUT

i HATED the way it sounded, just trash to me... i was so sad i had huge hopes for that deck... i gave it to my lil brother.

Why 7 bands. what issues do you have you are trying to take care of? Any particular reason you are looking for a parametric and not graphic? What have you done with your install to try and solve your issues?

*note if you don't have the answers to all of those questions off the top of your head you REALLY don't need a parametric, not yet.
