I understand you are trying to learn, and I was not saying there was anything wrong with it - I answered the question.

You just are talking about a setup that has the potential of easily breaking from user error. Normally, when that happens to noobs, they come back here unhappy with the equipment manufacturer, when it is their own fault.

Brian

Brian was spot on in both of his posts.

BTW I know this is off key but have you guys seen the FI 22'' Basket??

My plan (as of this moment) is to use (8) 22" IB3's in my IB setup in the new HT. :D

Thanks! I am going to guess that it will be over 160 very soon.

I had the factory cloth seats in when I did the 159.7. I am in the process of putting plastic racing seats in it.

Just sent the alt back to mechman to have the external regulator installed. Will be nice to bump the voltage up a little.

Also almost done with the doors now. . .

Next up is getting the flex out of the roof.

And of course, can't wait to get SMD subs in there ;)

I just bought a bunch of hushmat.

"Hushmat" won't make me lose db's will it? Because at first I was going to buy "Dynamat" until people told me I'm

Most likely to lose db's.

What all installs have you done? I am curious now.

The 2 12's I have now & the 2 10's in my friends tarus. That's all for now but hope to do more :)

Your going from small systems, to big power. And your asking about deadening and bassboost?

You should get a little more experience before trying something so big and expensive IMO

A 143 is EASY.

Why do you want such specific numbers?

Yep 143db ez. I want to be hitting that much because 143 isn't enough and I want to be the loudest streetbeater in my city hopefully state!!! :) Too much to ask???

2 12" Polks hitting 145-147db.

LAWD

A 155 would KILL you!!! You wouldn't be ready for it.

Think about it, the loudest you heard and the one you want is at LEAST 3.2 times louder. And at most 4.5 times louder.

That is a huge difference, breaking 155+ legal is HARD. A buddy of mine runs, 4 DD 9515"s, 4 DD M3's, and 7+ batteries in a WALL, about 100 lbs of deadener, and barely does a 155.7 legal.

i disagree on the 143, most people on the street dont come close to that. im talking TL not ac, thats another story

Most people on the street run Sony and Dual. And of course TL. lol. AC is such a waste of time.

And loudest I've sat in was a 159 something, and i stuck my head in a 161.4.

If you know what your doing a 143 with 2 10"s isn't to hard. Skip does a 148.6 with 2 Type R 12"s from the back of a Explorer below 45Hz. It's all about the box design and power. :P

I even managed a 144 with WAY less then half power to the L7's and a wayyy to MASSIVE for the subs, 13 cube box tuned to 40. With a bad SPL design.

You have a point there!! My friend runs 2 Mojo 15"s on an Mmats 3500.05 and gets a 144.7 in his town car.

I fail for forgetting the hard to get loud in cars
