VLX-400

Does any one know what the real outputs are for the vlx-400 at 1ohms on 14.4 and 16 and can it take 18v?

I have one I am either going to use or sale I have had it for sale for sometime but no body buying in this market so I might as well use it.

Someone said it needs like 350amps to run good is this also true??

It will go into protect after 15.4 volts. Don't run it on 18v's, it will go up in FLAMES.

These amps were a product of the early 90's when 12 volts was pretty much all we had to work with. Those are even more rare than my old 50C.

Just like all of the OLD School US Amps this beast was rated at 12.5 volts. I have seen these beasts make well over 3800 rms with a proper load and voltage. But again they are going to want well over 400 amps to do so.

I have questions to the amp.

1.

I have read the line-input is from 150mV to 3V.

Is this right?

Or is the input higher? to 9V?10V?or more.

2.

I will bridge the amp.

I have 2 Woofers with Dual Voic Coil 4Ohm

Mode is for 4Ohm not 1Ohm.

I have take + from one side and - form the two side for one Woofer

And - from one side and + form the two side for the other woofer.

the usamps vlx400 will take 16volts all day no problem at all i have had a lot of the old usamps and thay love the 16volts and the vlx400 will make 4178rms on 16volt and 432amps of curent you have to feed the amp alot
