Port up or back

Recommended Posts

Where should i put the port? This is going to be in a blazer, and if back how much room should I leave between the port and tailgate?

1. Build the box and hook it up.

2. Face it back and listen to it.

3. Face it up and listen to it.

4. Place it the way you think it sounded better.

We can't really tell you how to set up your box or port to sound good in your car because we aren't right there with you in your car listening to it.

but if the box is built with the sub and port off axis then aiming it differently will change a lot. ive seen a few setups in suvs and hatches with sub and port up, and of course lots with sub up and port back.

the box in my blazer now has about 4" between the port openings and the tailgate, ive been playing with making the space bigger and smaller but it seems best with 5-6"
