SAZ-3000D @ .5Ω load daily

Recommended Posts

Unless you plan on running at at .5 ohms on 18 volts good luck with 6,000 watts.

You don't double power when you divide ohms.

It's never good to go against what the warranty says but I know where you can Stinger SPV70's fairly cheap right now to help back up your electrical.

WTF you thought you could get 6~7000 watts from a 3000 watt amp simply by running it at a half ohm??

no? I was hoping to get anywhere b/t 4800-5500 out of it. I just said 3000w b/c the can handle that much. Notice I put around 3000w.

That sounds better. We don't have to kill you now. Just make sure your electrical is ready for it.

i know im not drunk yet...

your question was about a single 3000d at half ohm correct?

and you want to run two subs... with 1 amp? at half ohm...

you wish to give EACH sub AROUND 3000 watts correct?

Run a 16V system and you should get around 5,000 watts at 1ohm.

the amp is over rated... but you show me any 3000 watt amp that will do DOUBLE its rating.

its just not so...

if your goal is 2600 watts or so per sub then you need to retool your plans....

run a single saz @ 16 volts... but i dont recomend going that route for you...

and or run 1 3k at 1 ohm... its a solid amp.. it WILL push those subs fine.

On the note of money - remember than the 3000s are on sale for $750 right now.

haha, yea I know. That's the only reason I'm seriously looking at buying them.

On that note... an SAZ-3000D @ 1/2 ohm is plenty of power for a pair of AQ HDC3 with either copper or aluminum coils for daily.

I am going to close this thread down as well - if you still have any un-answered questions feel free to post another or e-mail me.
