Help me with my box

Recommended Posts

This is going to be for a 12" dCON and I want to put it in its recommended sealed enclosure which is 1.2 cu ft. Just want you guys to double check on my specs for the box build, making sure the volume is right and all. Also do I need to use some of that box fill? If so how much

Thanks guys,

-Mike

If you're going for the optimal enclosure size, poly fill isn't really necessary. You can always add a couple pounds to see if it slightly changes the sound to your liking.

Ok, are these dimensions good though?

Ok so here are the pieces I am going to need. Tomorrow I want to build the box the problem is the measurements. How am I going to measure for example top/bottom 14.53" accurately? When I convert it to a fraction to make it tape measure friendly I get 53/100. Which is not on a standard tape. What do you fellow box builders do in a situation like this. Am I overlooking something here?

Ok I was thinking about doing that, just wasn't sure how people normally do it. So on the 13.03 just round down to 13 then. That makes everything a lot easier.

lol, if you want it to be exact, or close to, just cut a little more then 1/2" and sand it down or just round it off to 1/2" and be set.
