PLEASE HELP

ok wat up guys i just ordererd a 15" bl flly loaded BUT i chose the extreme lead option and wasnt aware that this was for spl applications only and not for daily

my question is what is going to happen if i run this option daily?

my setup is 92 hatchbak mustang with a brutus hifionics 1606d and da bl 15"

If you just ordered it then im pretty sure you can email nick or scott at fi to get it changed.

so i should def have them change that out? is it gunna ruin the sub if i dont? im anxious to bumb this beastly looking woofer asap so what should i do?

Since they changed the way they do the leads I'm not sure on how this option is executed. But it was a thicker lead added for SPL purposes and could create tinsel slap when playing music. My question to you is what do the leads look like on the sub? Are they above the spider or sandwiched in between spiders?

I would just run the sub as is. If a problem develops, then you can take nessessary steps to resolve it.

The original extreme lead option was heavy wire (as used in the BTLs). We added this as an option for the people wanting to use the BLs for SPL high current applications where the standard lead has too much resistance and could be an issue. It was not intended for daily.

BUT, since we switched to the integrated lead setup, then extreme lead option simply adds an extra set of wires to the mix. No issue for daily whatsoever and just increases the current carrying load. Nothing detrimental by any means.
