Fi Q 15 enclosure ????

Recommended Posts

Am using two Q 15s but in to seperate cambers that are in 2.9-3.0 cuft enclosures after all displacement, is this too small?. Would it be better to use a single or a dual camber? I was told that the single would hit harder. What do you guys think? The box is tune to 30Hz using a port that is 2 X 14 and 16.75 inches long. Am still in da building stages so i can change some things just alittle if its necessary.

There is no difference in sound between a single or double chambered box. if anything the double would be better because of the extra brace that the center divider provides, but if you adequately brace a single chamber there is no difference.

Your box is the absolute smallest recommended, so if you can make one bigger for them, I would.

Ok, how about 6.4 cuft (after all displacment) for both Q 15 woofers with a port that is 3 inch in height 20 inches in width and 8 inch in lenght would this be big enough for both of them? Am putting them in da back of an Ext. Cab dodge dakota, so a bit tight on space.

You don't need to make a new thread for the same question, not to mention posting in three different areas. All merged.

That should work fine. It'd be better to build a larger enclosure, but since you're limited on space that should still work great. good luck
