w6v2 v Fi Q?

Recommended Posts

jl products are very good the w6 sq is unbelievable the w7 has more output but slightly lower sq. most people wont notice a diffrence in how close the sq is. the fi Q is very similar in sq and output to the w7. if you want louder than a pair of w6 12's off the same power id suggest a ported Q or w7. if your really more interested in output a bl might be what you want it wont sound as good as the w7 or Q but ported off 1000w would get loud and still be decent for music. the only problem i see with jl is the price but if you have the money and like the look better go for it.

Most definitely the Q can handle the rated power plus a little bit more fully loaded. I have heard the w6 in person, but I have not heard the Q. I was able to destroy it with my two 12 w3's. I think that the Q would satisfy your needs. I don't think that the w6 is in the same class as the Q either. I think that it is better matched up with the w7. I'd go with the Q

The W7 can lick my nuts.

I'd love to see your reaction when you hear the one I heard...

This whole "lets bash JL because all the cool kids are doing it" routine is getting really old really fast.

Don't get me wrong, in no way did I say it was a bad product. I have heard a JL built vehicle with 2 13.5" W7's, but I was not that impressed. I am not a conformist Adrian. I do believe the W6 is not superior to the W7 in output, but that insignificant amount of output has a huge price tag; a price that I feel it is not worth.

Yes, the price may very well not be worth it if output is the main concern. And I have to say I'm a bit biased towars a good sound instead of ridiculous output.
