hu power and ground

would you guys recommend-

1. running power from battery to the cdplayer instead of using the factory harness?

2. grounding to the fire wall or use the factory harness?

deck is the clarion mentioned in my build log (the cheap one that can do active)

my hu has 2 power wires aswell. one a 3 amp fuse and the other a 15 amp.

One power wire is probably the constant 12V source and the other is a switched 12V source. I would use the harness and add a ground to the rear of the deck, there should be a screw to attach one.

when i do a HU install i run a wire from the kick panel up to the ground wire from the HU.and the stock 12v wires from the harness should be good.

one is memory back up lead and the other is bus power lead... ill use the harness and run my own ground to the kick as suggested. thanks for the input.

i think all clarions have the 2 constants and 1 switchable. and of course the one ground.
