Never played with the night shades... lol and Im use to 18" woofer's ive never used 12's....

Should be a standard 12 spoke and the ones I've seen diameters are 11.125.

As for outer Id go with 12.75" or greater depending on how big your finger are.

If I remember correctly I ended up having to go with 11 1/8th of an inch for the cutout.

go with 11 inches then if its too small sand a bit off
