hey guys i am going to be buying an SI d2 in a few weeks and i need a more powerful amp and i only have about 250 i found a hifonics brutus 1500 watt amp on ebay for 225 buy now is it worth it or should i get a rocksford fosgate power 1001bd for 250 thanks

while the hifonics is somewhat overrated(according to a test done by loyd[bigbassman]), it isn't a bad amp. it and the fosgate should probably put out real close to the same power..1100-1200 wrms. this would be a tossup.

personally, i like my hifonics (nemesis nx750d) but i've also had good luck with fosgate stuff.

i'd say buy the one u like the most of the two. i believe u will get damn near identical performance from either one.

viper's, jbl's, & orions are in the same range and more reliable IMO. I've tried a brutus 1k & 1.5k, I wouldnt suggest them.

of the two you asked about, I surely as everyone here knows, I would take the RF over the Hi Fonics

Also the XA-900D Power Bass is a great option that will put out more power than ratted

ok cool thanks guys i think i am going to try the hifonics all my friends have rocksfords and in the summer they dont work as good becouse of the heat u have to have a fan on them all the time pluse i want to be diff from everyone else thats y i am geting a SI D2 only one other person in my school has them but he is my best friend so i dont care and he has 2 15s way out of my leauge well thanks guys for the fast reply

the RFs should run fine unless they are running them below reccomended ohm loads ^_^
