i'm stumped and it's buggin the hell outa me...

maybe i should make a poll...lol

here's the deal, i sold the subs/box i normally run in my truck (the hpo's)

i'm not impressed with the xxx in anyway to want to try to fit that as a daily driver...

so...do i buy another pair of tens and build another box for under my seat?

do i pull my back seat and go large..like 15" large?

do i have scott order another solox 10 (is $500 fo them new w/waranty bad?) and buy the pair of those?

i'm at a crossroads. i've got a really sweet sub amp (thanks nick), but i have no clue as to what to do.

advice? opinions?

honestly... you have an UBERwoofer coming right?

If so, run that with 2kw in a killer ported (~4.0-6.0ft^3) and you;ll be VERY happy IMO.

Do something like what I am going to do. Put bucket seats in your truck and run a downfiring 10 or 12 (I'm going IDMax 12) between them in a custom console. Then you still have a back seat, you have BETTER front seats and you have killer up front bass. If I dont' go this route I will be running 2 10's the exact same way you had them (you inspired my fallback plan with the pics of your box)

nick, see, that's the problem...i'll be testing the uber(thanks ryan)..which is kewl..but at the same time..say i like it. ok, i've got one. in a car, that's alright..but in a truck? how do i make that look ok? it definitely won't fit under the seat, won't look good on top of the seat and i don't want to take the seat out for one sub.

i'll be testing it the seat up, but i don't want to leave it that way..

so what do i do?

buy the solox18...i can get it for less then $800 (or so)...maybe do a half wall or full wall for it? i know 2.5k really isn't enough, but it should get it moving, right?

Honestly, you seem to be happiest with dual 10" setups.

Oh, and with the uberwoofer ... if you try a sealed enclosure ... you'll love the low end - it WILL shake you apart.

steve, ur right...but at the same time..i'm back to being sick of building/installing systems that are louder then mine...lol..and i've got more power. i've thought about a pair ro rl-i 10's...but that puts me back to square one..lol...of course, i might just buy a pair of the new rl-i 8's..hehe

humm, I am not sure how you are going to like a single solo X in there, you might need a second Orion to power it, and from what I have seen first hand your going to need a massive box for it to get the most out of it

why not dual 15's? PB XS's? oer SI D2's?

also..denim..i honestly don't believe the x needs as big a box as ppl think...larger then most yes..lol...but not as big as believed. also, the 10" bottoms out in 2.25ft^3 and it's rms (i think nick and i figured out why) so i don't see why the 18 wouldn't do decent off 2.5k. also, i'm going to be runnin the orion at .5ohm...so it should be more like 3.5kwrms..

it's not set in stone..but it's getting there..lol
