Project Raab - the project that never ends

Recommended Posts

the comps are sick the flexability of the crossovers is really nice and the butt of the woofer looks like a btl but its a neo magnet for more strength than a standard magnet. id love to hear them.

They sound very good, pretty close to other top end speakers i've heard, though the tweeter has to be attenuated down as it is quite bright. The mids need some serious power in them to get them pumping, but overall, they are a well matched set that plays music very transparently without fatiguing the ears either.

Are there any images of the amp rack in its final destination? I assume it's installed in the spare tire well, based on the description? Let us see more. :-)

Nice work...and lots of it.

The amp rack sits on top of the spare tire well and in between the two plastic trays on either side of the vehicle. On top of that is the plastic tray and carpet so the amps are hidden to detract would be theives looking in my windows.

All in all the install is sweet and I can't wait for the AA Havoc to arrive

Those look like custom RCA's

If they are, where did you get your materials from (wire, terminals, ect?), and how did you wire the shield plus any other notes of necessary connections made to insure no intrusion of interference (alt whine).

I have 4 Amps to wire up, and 6 channels from the Head Unit (3 sets of RCA's), (1-L, 1-R RCA to the Sub woofer Amp, Then I have 3 amps that will need a 1-L, 1-R Tweeter (1 RCA set Split to 3 amps) And 1-L ,1-R Mid range, split to all 3 amps again.

4 channels that split to 3 amps (each amp gets 4 channels), and 2 channels to the single subwoofer amp.
