You need to wire it parallel, or in series...do a search on parallel/series here

man, i wish my starter sub was a BTL!

you do not want to use only one coil. it will not play to its potential. like Rob said, check to see if it is D1 or D2. what do you plan on running for an amp?

Option 1 (parallel) = 0.5 ohm load

Voice coils wired in parallel

Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 1/2 ohm mono

1_1ohm_dvc_05ohm.gif

Option 2 (series) = 2 ohm load

Voice coils wired in series

Recommended Amplifier: stable at 2 ohm mono

1_1ohm_dvc_2ohm.gif

you might want to get a different amp, because that hifonics is not going to put out alot at 2 ohms and I dont know if it will work at .05 ohms...

Heard from a lil birdy .5 will be fine. Just don't expect a warrenty.

Btw that 2608d will be just fine. But be sure to upgrade your electrical under the hood and add a optima or two in the trunk. Voltage drop is a killer of these amps.

Find out what your amp runs for ohms and then figure out what to wire your sub to
