Wiring ?'s

Recommended Posts

how would you choose to wire three single four ohm subs?

likewise, how would you choose to wire five single four ohm subs?

The only way I see to wire an odd number of SVC subs and get a practical load is to put them all in parallel with each other.

So for 3 subs you have 1.33 ohms and for 5 you get 0.8 ohms.

oh i see....i just parallel? i was thinking it would be really confusing. thanks

would i void the warranty on a sundown amp, if i ran it at 0.8ohms? not really into buying one now, much to costly, but for future reference.

why not just get 4?

not enough room in my trunk

i would love to, but in order for me to get a custom box, i have to save up more than this current box and the three woofers combined. just not practical at the moment.

Well you asked about 5 subs, so why wouldn't 4 work? Or was 5 just an arbitrary example?

And why not tell us all that this system entails so that we know what's actually going on and can maybe help further.
