hey everybody, I've narrowed down my search for 6.5" 2 way component speakers...

::Pheonix Gold RSD 65cs (60/120 watts rms/peak each)

::Massive Audio SK6 (100/220 watts rms/peak each)

::Massive Audio CK6 (130/280 watts rms/peak each)

::Massive Audio TK6 (120/270 watts rms/peak each)

I'm not sure of what amp i will be powering the speakers with yet. I plan on running an Fi BTL with them so I'd like something loud enough to keep up with it. What do you think would be the best choice/why...

thanks!

Andrew

All I can say is, I've heard good and bad reviews on the PG RSDs, so that's a toss up. I personally was looking at the CK6 components from Massive a while back and didn't end up going that route, however those are what I would choose from the three sets listed. I do NOT have any personal experience with any of em though, so take my statements as nothing more than that

NOTHING will even come close to keeping up with the BTL on your list. Not even close. If that is your goal, get ready to spend more on your front comps then you did on your sub, amp, and electrical upgrades.

if none of those will do the trick, what do you suggest? I've sat in a car with 4 DD subs pushing 6000 watts rms and the Massive Audio comps were a little low but were keeping up pretty well with it...

LOL. Not even close. If that is all you need then just do what your ears tell you.

6000 watts, 4 subs I wouldn't be able to tell you what song was playing (but then again my ears may need some training)
