BTL setup

Recommended Posts

heres a good amp setup kit from kicker, 1/0 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3935_Kicker+PKD1.html#

and if you need additional wire i would go with knuKonceptz wire and terminals etc..

http://www.knukonceptz.com/

This is kind of a no brainer question but, would it hurt to use the Ga I have right now? I mean has it been proven bigger gauge more current?

lol ye u need to power your amp properly and 4 wont cut it. especially a 3000D

With as much current as a 3000D needs, you'll probably burn your wire.

imagining a wire bursting into flames xD made my night. Why would it do that?

larger gauge wire has larger current carrying capability. if you use 8 gauge, for example, on your 3000d, it will be trying to suck a bathtub full of water through a straw (metaphorically speaking). Upgrade that straw to 6" piping (1/0 gauge) and it can get the water (electricity) easier.

It's 4 gauge, and thank you for breaking that down, makes alot more sense.
